EVERYBODY TOUCH THE EARTH ETTEEverybody Touch The Earth
is for
EVERYBODY!
Ms. Kavanah originally designed
ETTE as a 'stand alone' program' specifically for grade school children. The program teaches children
about their own environment
and also an awareness of the environmental changes and challenges
in the area where they live.
However,
ETTE goes beyond
'our own backyard' and
reaches out to students
all over the globe to
connect with them and
learn about their environment
and their concerns for their environment.
ETTE creates a
Shared Global Awareness
fpr Every ONE who Touches
The Earth.
This process is done through
creating a network of
participating schools that
become to use an old vernacular
'pen pals'.
The students become friends with particular children in the class,
AND
the entire class becomes
'friends' with each other.
Through all the great technology
we have today,
connecting media such as
youtube and facebook
are used as well.
We have incorporated aspects of ETTE into our
Jambalaya Music Program
combining it with another program developed by Ms. Kavanah called
Kids with Cameras.
Kids with Cameras is an
Oral History Program
for students of all
ages and interests.
' If you don't know what else to do - do a mitzvoh!' This old Jewish saying was the beginning of the concept for ETTE. (Everybody Touch The Earth Foundation)
A mitzvoh is a blessing in the form of service (money or work - but an actual tangible action) that one gives freely to another(human or not) with no expectation of gaining something in return.
Ette recognizes that the only reason the world needs healing or mending is because of the heavy footprint we humans have trod upon it with.
Ette knows that we all love this beautiful planet which we share with all of life forms. and it is that spirit of oneness that ETTE was formed.
ETTE gives a tangible possible form to the important matter of returning the earth to one of wholeness. Ette does this in simple easy ways so that Everybody can take responsibility and share in this important loving valuable work.
As we move people into a point of action - even what may seem to be the tiniest of actions -
a spark living deep within the human being is activated.
The activation of this spark ignites an awareness to something outside the human self, something not quite felt but intuitively understood.
Some call this awareness God, some call it the Divine Uncreated,
or Source or First Cause.
Some Call It LOVE
Many individuals may
initially be unwilling
to acknowledge this
peripherally seen existence,
but the the effects of even
the minorist of mitzvohs
is still felt.
As the individual feels better, they begin to feel more capable,
and more empowered so that
each act of lovingkindness
literally builds a
reservoir of positivitiy
within the person.
We all know the truth of this.
We have heard it said so often
'it is better to give
than to recieve'.
But the real truth is that
as we give
so are we given to.
We all become recipients of the terrific energy of loving givingness
Ette gives tiny small tasks to each. These tasks arefool proof and easy.
Yet the effects are as magnicient and beautiful as the sun streaming through a prisim shining in a window.
Classes are taught in 5 week series. Drop-ins are Welcome
$72.00 for the series / $18.00 a class
